Originally founded in 1655 as The White Hart, our Grade I Listed treasure has been the setting of countless stories, hosting notable figures including King Charles II, Lord Nelson, and the infamous highwayman, John Belcher. Today. We continue to honour our rich heritage while providing our guests with modern comfort and exceptional service.
Our hotel boasts 26 historically themed bedrooms, each meticulously designed to transport you back in time, offering an unparalleled blend of historical charm and luxury. From the King Charles II Room, commemorating the royal visit in 1671, to Emma’s Room, with its tale of love and tragedy, each of our rooms tells a unique story of the past.
During your stay, we invite you to explore our facilities, including the restaurant serving delightful cuisine, the bar with the largest fireplace in East Anglia, and the beautifully restored Georgian stables known as the Coach House. The JAX Bar
The JAX Bar at The Scole Inn Hotel is a relaxing bar space holding the biggest fireplace in East Anglia. The Library – Lounge

Evacuation Procedure: Evacuation maps are located on the back of your room door and throughout the hotel. Identify your nearest exit and fire assembly point which is in the car park.
Smoke Detectors: Your room is equipped with a smoke detector. Tampering with smoke detectors is prohibited & will result in a fine.
